How to Make Debates More Informal

It often pays off to be formal in your speech, whether at a job interview, business conference or even at a wine bar. There are some situations however, where being a little less formal can pay off greatly. We all become a little less approachable when we use more formal language, it makes us feel more aware of the social rules around us. Using more informal language allows ourselves and our ideas to come through.

During a debate, you can pepper your speeches with some phrases which are less formal but can help you articulate your ideas effectively.

When you give your rebuttal.
